Well it's about time!

I guess it is time for me to enter the blogging world. I have resisted doing this, but my sweet Kaela now lives in Seoul Korea for 6 weeks and I promised her that I would start one so that she could see all that was going on at home. I admit that I am not clever or funny in my writing. I might occasionally come up with a good idea or a funny picture, but don't count on it. So look elsewhere if that is what you are after. Hopefully my kids will get a kick out of reading what I wrote about them someday...that is my only reason for doing this.

We just arrived back from Korea on Saturday and are still feeling the jetlag effects. What a trip! We had so much fun visiting Jed's parents and soaked up every minute of them and the amazing city of Seoul. While we were there we walked all over Olympic park, took the subway, ate some delicious Korean barbeque, saw the World Cup soccer stadium, spent the day at Lotte World, went on a beautiful hike, sealed our sweet Eli to us in the Seoul Korea temple, played many fun games with grandma and grandpa, met some great missionaries, went to the 63 building and got an amazing view of Seoul, hung out at the Children's museum and topped it off with an outing to Canmore where we ate a delicous shaved ice, ice cream, fruit dessert. The best part of all was that we got to do it with two of the greatest people out there...grandma Linda and grandpa Craig!

Since we have been home we have been trying to go to sleep at night, getting back to school (Jacob and Jane), doing laundry, trying to keep running (for my ragnar race in Cali this weekend) and enjoying the beautiful sunny weather. Our neighbors just started a remodel of their home on Wednesday and we got to watch them tear down their garage and part of their house with a a giant tractor. It was great entertainment for me and for the kids. We almost thought that we were watching the Sunday night home makeover show from our back yard! The kids then decided to climb all over the equiptment once the workers had called it a day. I think that every boy in the neighborhood was out climbing on the tractor. It was a cute little boy moment.

I'm off to take in the sunny skies of California, see my favorite sister, hang out with my brother and his darling family and hopefully run a relay race without dying!

  2. MOM! Thanks soooo much for starting a blog! It will be easier for me to hear the "news goin' round town" I hope you will update it often, and keep me informed. I hope you know how much I love you. If you don't, just thinks that it is like a trillion times to Pluto and back, plus a trip to the outer universes around us, and to top it off, with a nice big "INFINITE AND BEYOND" like a big, juicy, cherry on top!

    Your Ever-Loving Daughter,

    McKaela Brooke Burton
